Megasonic cleaning: cleaning with microbubbles
A well-known application of acoustic cavitation is ultrasonic or megasonic cleaning. However, exactly how dirt or particles are removed from an object is still poorly understood. In this project we aim to clarify the cleaning mechanism by relating nano-particle removal with microbubble dynamics induced boundary layer flow.
